Peter Noymer serves as Executive Chairman of the Board for PyrAmes and brings more than twenty years of experience developing novel pharmaceutical and medical device products from concept through to market.

Previously, Peter was CEO of Kedalion Therapeutics, COO of SteadyMed Therapeutics (acquired by United Therapeutics), and VP of Product R&D for Alexza Pharmaceuticals (acquired by Grupo Ferrer). He has MS and PhD degrees from MIT in Mechanical Engineering and a BSE from Princeton in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering.

Xina Quan is Co-founder and CEO of PyrAmes and has been developing PyrAmes’ technology with Stanford Professor Zhenan Bao since 2015. Prior to starting PyrAmes, Xina led the R&D efforts at Artificial Muscle Inc., a venture-backed start-up spun out of SRI, which resulted in the first commercial application of electroactive polymers. She played a critical role in the acquisition of AMI by Bayer MaterialScience in 2010 and by Parker Hannifin in 2014. Before joining AMI, Xina was the Vice President of R&D at Cambrios, a venture-backed start-up where she led the efforts to pioneer the use of silver nanowires in transparent conductive inks. At Lumileds Lighting, a joint venture of Philips and Agilent Technologies, she managed the product development and release of novel high-power white LED products which are now used ubiquitously as cell-phone camera flash chips. The first start-up Xina worked with was DigiLens where she led the technical development of materials and processes for switchable holographic gratings. She was responsible for DigiLens’ acquisition by SBGLabs.

Before moving to start-ups, Xina was a Director at AT&T Bell Laboratories where she led the Polymer & Chemical Engineering Departments. She has SB and SM degrees from MIT and a PhD from Princeton, all in Chemical Engineering, is a registered patent agent with the USPTO, and has more than 30 issued or pending US patents.

Zhenan Bao is a co-founder of PyrAmes and serves as an Advisor and on the Board of Directors. A world-renowned researcher in electronics and wearables, she is currently the K.K. Lee Professor in Chemical Engineering at Stanford University, with courtesy appointments in Chemistry and Material Science and Engineering.  She is a member of the National Academy of Engineering and National Academy of Inventors, founded and is faculty director of the Stanford Wearable Electronics Initiative, and is an affiliated faculty member of the Precourt Institute, Woods Institute, ChEM-H and Bio-X.

Zhenan received her PhD degree in Chemistry from the University of Chicago, and currently has more than 400 refereed publications and more than 60 US patents. She advises numerous industry boards and a venture fund company. Zhenan is a fellow of several scientific organizations and has many scientific awards. Zhenan and Xina worked together at AT&T Bell Labs before Zhenan moved to Stanford.

Richard Lim co-founded GSR Ventures in 2004 and made it one of the premier VC funds in the world, investing in early-stage technology companies operating in the US, China, and SE Asia. GSR Ventures focuses on companies that apply AI to drive transformation in Healthcare, Enterprise and Consumer sectors.

Richard holds an MBA from Stanford and an MBBS in Medicine & Surgery from the National University of Singapore.

Joe Zhou is one of the most experienced VCs in China, starting in 1999 with Softbank China Venture Capital. He was a Founding Managing Partner at KPCB China and founded Keytone Ventures in 2008.

Joe is passionate about identifying market opportunities in technology, mobile internet, healthcare IT and devices.  He holds a MSEE from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a BSEE from Beijing University of Technology.

Gary Manning is the SVP/GM Healthcare at PhysIQ. Gary has spent his career in the global medical device / solution arena starting as a clinical engineer and evolving to hold leadership positions at Datascope, Sotera Wireless, and Gaido Health before joining PhysIQ. He has experience in launching and commercializing innovative medical solutions in cardiac life-support, patient monitoring, wearable sensors, and digital health.

Michael Rolla is a healthcare technology leader, advisor and board member. Currently the Chief Revenue Officer at UpHealth Inc., he has held multiple leadership roles at Becton Dickinson by way of C.R. Bard and Teladoc by way of Livongo. Michael has led commercial, marketing and clinical operations teams both domestically and internationally. He has experience in delivering med-tech, SaaS products and services to Health plans, Health systems/providers and employers. Michael received his BS from Penn State University and his MBA from Emory University. He remains active in several companies and philanthropies focused on improving the delivery of care.

Dr. Peter Fitzgerald is the Director of the Center for Cardiovascular Technology and Director of the Cardiovascular Core Analysis Laboratory (CCAL) at Stanford University Medical School and Emeritus Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Engineering (by courtesy) at Stanford. He has led or participated in over 175 clinical trials and published over 550 manuscripts/chapters.

Peter has been principal/founder of 24 medical device companies, 18 of which have gone public or transitioned to large healthcare/consumer companies. He serves on several boards of directors, advised dozens of medical device startups as well as multinational healthcare companies in the design and development of new diagnostic and therapeutic cardiovascular devices. Peter also co-founded LVP Capital and TriVentures, providing funding to medical device, biotechnology, and digital health start-ups.

Dr. Bhalla is the founding director of the Stanford Hypertension Center and is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Nephrology, and Hypertension.  Here in the heart of Silicon Valley, he also has an interest in developing novel technologies for non-invasive measurement of blood pressure.

Dr. Brodsky is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Brodsky is the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Services at the Beaumont Hospital West Bloomfield satellite location and has a private cardiology practice.

Dr. Corridore is Attending Anesthesiologist at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and The Heart Center as well as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the Ohio State University College of Medicine. His clinical and research interests focus on congenital heart disease and its anesthetic implications.

Dr. Goldstein is the Vice President, Research and Development, Hematology at CSL Behring.  He has held leadership roles at several biotechnology and pharmaceutical companies including Baxter, Shire, Novo Nordisk, and Ikaria. He was formerly the Chief of Pediatric Critical Care at Oregon Health & Science University where his research focused on pediatric vital sign monitoring.

Dr. Andre is a scientist, inventor, and entrepreneur. He is an expert in machine learning and is co-founder of Cerebellum Capital. He previously led the machine learning team at BodyMedia, a pioneer in wearable devices which was acquired by Jawbone in April 2013 for more than $100 million.
